Suffragan Bishop George & Lady Louvenia Green
Late Suffragan Bishop George Green was baptized in June of 1962 at Bethesda Apostolic Church and was filled with the Holy Ghost at age 16. He became active in the work of the Lord and developed a love for the word of God. He enrolled in Aenon Bible School and Washington Bible College, taking home Bible courses. He sang in the choir, drove the church van, participated in the prayer band, prison ministry, and also did revivals around Connecticut. While doing the work of the Lord, he met the love of his life, Sis. Louvenia (Little) Green. As time moved on, Eld. George Green became the assistant pastor of Bethel Apostolic Church in Middletown, CT, under the leadership of the late Senior District Pastor Marion Fennell. Elder and Sis. Green labored faithfully until God directed them to start a new work. In 1995 New Covenant Apostolic Church was founded in Plainville, CT. In the June District Council of 2008, District Elder Green was elevated to the office of Suffragan Bishop. Suffragan Bishop Green entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2015, and Mother Louvenia Green was later called home to eternal rest on September 2, 2020.
Pastor George & Lady Linda Knight
Late Pastor George L. Knight was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church in Middletown, CT, under the leadership of the late Senior District Elder Marion Fennell, Pastor. He worked in many capacities at Bethel, such as van ministry, choir member, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and prison ministry. He was later called to the ministry by God and went on to become an Elder. Elder George took bible courses at Aenon Bible College and continued his studies in the word of God. He was ordained as a licensed minister by the Pentecostal Assembly of the World, Inc.. During his time at Bethel, Pastor George Knight met Sis. Linda (White) Knight, and they were joined in holy matrimony in December of 1992. After many years of working in the ministry at Bethel, God led Elder Knight to start a work in another city. In April of 2010, Elder Knight was then led by God to be the founder and Pastor of Divine Truth Apostolic Church in Cromwell, CT. While God continued to do great things in Cromwell, Pastor Knight was installed as Pastor on May 26, 2016, at New Covenant Apostolic Church in Plainville, CT. This move merged Divine Truth Apostolic Church and New Covenant Apostolic Church into one church. He was a humble and faithful servant until he was called home to eternal rest on January 18, 2023.
